SPAY/NEUTER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SNAP)

Spay/Neuter Your Pet - CDHS Can Help!

Nearly 11,000 area animals have been spayed/neutered with the SNAP assistance through CDHS! That equates to nearly 198,000 animal births that have been prevented.

The Central Dakota Humane Society offers $15-off spay/neuter certificates to the public. (You will receive $15 off the cost of a spay or neuter at your veterinarian.) If you know of someone who has not had their pet spayed or neutered, please encourage them to get a certificate and set up an appointment. Certificates can be redeemed at all local veterinarians. Thank you to our generous sponsors who fund this great program!

Please call during open shelter hours, which are Tuesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. to request a certificate.

Statistics have shown that one unaltered cat can give birth to 18 kittens each year and one female dog can give birth to 20 puppies each year.

Certificates are accepted at all local veterinary clinics that treat dogs and cats and several clinics in central North Dakota. Certificates must be presented to veterinarians before the spay/neuter surgery is performed.
