Rub-A-Dub Doggie Wash
"Our Rub-A-Dub Doggie Wash is a great way for people to get their dogs cleaned up and for them to also help support the work we do at the CDHS shelter," said Sue Buchholz, CDHS Shelter Director. "We receive no city, state or federal funding and fundraisers like this are very important so we can continue our mission of helping homeless pets find homes." Owners can bring their pets to Groomingdales between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, for a shampoo, rinse and blow dry. The cost is $10 for small dogs and $15 for medium to large dogs. Groomingdales is donating the space, equipment and water so that all the proceeds from the event go to help CDHS shelter animals. The Central Dakota Humane Society does not receive any federal, state or local funding and relies completely on its members and fundraisers to raise enough money to care for the animals at the shelter. CDHS is a no-kill animal shelter that serves Bismarck-Mandan and the surrounding communities by housing and finding homes for lost, strayed or abandoned animals, promoting spaying and neutering and offering educational opportunities. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is located just three miles north of Mandan on Highway 1806. |
